I understand the LMRFD has a new automatic CPR machine. This will give patients who suffer a heart attack or sudden cardiac arrest and require CPR a chance at life.
These CPR machines do very effective CPR at the correct depth and rate and they don't get tired.
I understand the new CPR machine will be in Meadview. I would have hoped they would have it on the ambulance rather than in Meadview.
Now that cardiac patients have a chance of survival we need to teach CPR and AED use to everyone and anyone who is willing to learn, for free...
I don't care if they get a CPR card. You don't need a card to do CPR, you just need to do it in an effective manner if you want the patient to have a chance of survival.
